These wings were a hit. I actually did not pre-marinade and they sat in marinade for only 15 mins. prior to baking. I like a crispier wing and baked them at 450 instead of 375. They were tasty and quick. I was able to find a last min. sauce and it worked out well.

I was a little scared by the "too mustardy" comment, but these were SOOO GOOD! --just like "honey barbeque" type wings you might get at a restaurant. Didn't taste mustardy at all. (I used a mix of spicy mustard and dijon mustard...not sure how it would taste with yellow mustard.) I added some onion powder and garlic powder, and cooked some sauce with the wings--the sauce gets super gooey--my daughter said it was the best chicken she's ever had. This was the first time I have ever made wings from scratch, and I will be making them again! Thanks for the recipe! I didn't even marinate and they were still amazing!

Love this!!! I used half dijon mustard and half yellow. We grilled the chicken. Make sure if you grill put it over indirect heat and watch as the sauce can burn easily because of the sugar. My picky kids liked it and my husband and I can't wait to try it on baby back ribs. Thanks for the easy recipe.

My family really enjoyed this! We are not big fans of mustard, so I used 1/2 cup mustard and 1/2 cup barbeque sauce. They really liked them! This was my first time cooking chicken wings and it was really easy and yummy!
02/02/2014
Thank you Allrecipe cooks. I changed the recipe to 1/2 Dijon and 1/2 yellow mustard and it was perfect.
06/27/2013
This is great! Did half regular/half dijon mustard. Forgot to reserve marinade so just poured small amount of remaining marinade over wings (cooked on jelly roll pan) and basted with sauce in pan several times while cooking. Next time will definitely add red pepper flakes for some heat.

These were sooo good! My company was late, so I lowered the heat and kept them in the oven longer than the recipe called for... I am so glad I did because the wings got even more sticky and golden. I also topped with sesame seeds and chives once they were done. Awesome!

As I was sitting in the living room pondering something different I can do with my chicken wings, I stumbled across this recipe, and was stunned at the simplicity and flavor! My method of preparation was a little different, I heated the brown sugar, soy, and Mustard mixture to dissolve the sugar and blend the flavors. I then added 1tsp of melted butter (serving the purpose of a liaison), and deep fried my chicken wings in regular canola oil, then tossed the wings in the glaze. It tuned out wonderful!!!! but different than the usual oriental or buffalo flavors. You can get so creative with this versatile sauce!

Super easy to make and delicious! A big hit with my party guests.

This recipe was AMAZING! My husband loves wings, but doesn't care for spicy ones. These had a sweet BBQ flavor to them. I don't normally rate a recipe that I have altered, because I don't think it's fair, but I will say that I made one small adjustment. Instead of yellow mustard, I used 1/2 cup honey mustard and 1/2 cup dijon mustard (as some of the other reviewers have stated) Also, if I were to offer an additional tip, I would maybe use a disposable tray when making these. I used a cookie sheet wrapped in aluminum foil, but the glaze seeped through and made a gooey mess on the sheet. However, well worth the clean-up! :)

These were easy and good! I added a lil honey to them about 5 mins before taking out of the oven!
10/06/2016
These were delicious!! Even my picky 7 year old devoured them! (She hates everything except cereal) I made them exactly as written although I did up the temp to 450 and cut about 20 mins off the cooking time. The chicken was juicy, the skin was crispy, and the sauce was sticky, PERFECTION!!
02/12/2015
Given that there are just a few ingredients this recipe was excellent. I went with 1/2 c. of mustard and 1/2 cup of barbeque sauce(original open pit) Thanks Rebecca this one will go into my rotation!
11/08/2016
keep marinade, do not discard as indicated, you need it to baste
03/05/2013
Amazing! Really simple and fun to make! I used it with just chicken legs (6 to be exact) and I cut the recipe in half. I marindated it for 1hr in the fridge, cooked it for 30 minutes @ 375 and voila! LOVE!
02/09/2016
These were easy and delicious. I used half yellow mustard, and half spicy brown mustard, added about 1/4 cup of orange juice and some red pepper flakes. I only marinated for about an hour because I lost track of time, but still very yummy! One tip, though, use heavy duty foil or double foil-line your baking sheet. The gooiness that is so delicious, is quite difficult to scrub off. I used one layer of regular foil, and it wasn't enough. Next time, with easier clean up, I'll enjoy these even more!
12/16/2013
As the name says, it was easy and yes they were delicious! Following the direction of many other reviewers, I did half Dijon and half prepared yellow mustard. I should note I did forget to reserve some of the sauce and actually baked the wings in the sauce. Oops and oh well, it didn't seem to matter :)
09/11/2016
Amazing!! Will def make again!
09/18/2016
This recipe has gotten me a lot of people who loveeeeee them this is my boyfriend favorite dish
09/22/2019
These are the best chicken wings ever! Followed the recipe exactly and shared it with others who also made them the next day! Everyone says best chicken wings they ever had!!! I will make this over and over! Great for football or get togethers! So simple!
02/15/2013
For such a simple recipe these were absolutely delicious!
08/13/2018
It was so easy to make and my family loved it
09/10/2016
Enjoyed these very much. I also used 1/2 yellow mustard and 1/2 dijon mustard after reading the reviews prior to making this. I'm not crazy about regular yellow mustard. The mustard taste was very mild. I used heavy duty foil on my cookie sheets to catch all the juice while they cooked, and it made clean up quick and easy.
02/04/2013
Mustard was very overwhelming, they were just ok to us....
11/04/2013
Pretty good wings.
02/02/2015
This is a great recipe!! I really liked it!! Loved that they are baked not fried. I, also made some for my husband with his hot sauce on them instead of the regular sauce and they came out great, too!! Thanks for a great and easy recipe!! It will save us a lot of money, not ordering wings out!!
03/03/2015
I loved the idea of this mixture BUT I did half spicy mustard and regular yellow. Quick and last minute! I did only a 15 min window to marinate but came out great. Added to my list of recipes. Thanks!

This recipe truly went well! I had my reservations but I'm glad I went through with this recipe. Sometimes I get tired of waiting for my mom to cook dinner and when she's tired, I try not to bother her ( I'm 17 ) so I searched up recipes that anyone can make with anything lying around the house and somehow I came across this. For people worrying about the mustard, I can assure you that you won't even taste it when done. I also altered the ingredients a bit as I wanted some spice so I added chipotle , red pepper, and paprika to the sauce ( a bit of honey was also added). I also coated the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder along with the marinade ( let sit for 15 min) before cooking. Another thing I reccomend is if you broil the chicken 10 min before finishing to give it that grilled taste. I added a few garnishes and voila, the dish has been served!
02/03/2015
I cooked about 3 lbs and added 2 cloves of garlic to the recipe. It tasted great and was very simple. Thank you!
01/03/2015
I'm not a cook but it was simple enough that even I could make it. Got rave reviews for it too. :) Thank you so much!
04/22/2017
I added a little garlic just because garlic is great. Otherwise followed the recipe. It was a monster hit for dinner. I found them a little on the sweet side and may up the mustard next time but I had no complaints from the family!!
05/25/2016
I gave this recipe 3 stars because my boyfriend enjoyed it but for me there was way too much brown sugar. If you like very sweet chicken, this recipe is for you. If not, i would cut down the amount of brown sugar drastically.
05/04/2014
It was great! I added cayenne pepper into the seasoning of my chicken and it was the perfect sweet & spice!
10/26/2019
WOW! Everyone loved these. I made half a batch and used a glass 9x13 (for easy clean up, soak overnight). I was worried they would be too mustard, but they weren't at all. I will be making these again.
01/13/2020
Picky eaters approved! Followed 1/2 Dijon, 1/2 yellow mustard suggestion and baked at 400. Broiled wings at the end to slightly char.
04/27/2018
This was a fast and easy recipe to make. I let it marinate for 2 hours and they turned out great.
09/11/2015
I followed the recipe as written and they were delicious, easy and ......gone very quickly! Loved it and will make again!
09/26/2017
These were delicious! I'm not a big fan of yellow mustard, so reading other reviews, I used 1/2 c. yellow mustard and 1/2 c. honey mustard. I marinated overnight and baked for 45 mins, broiling 3 mins per side for crispier skin. Definitely a keeper!
06/19/2013
This recipe is delcious! I followed one of the suggestions in the comments and mixed in some dijon mustard. I have never made wings before, but I am definitely going to make them more often to use this recipe. So yummy.
10/11/2016
The wings were fantastic! I did half yellow mustard and half spicy mustard. The sauce was delicious. Definitely making these again!
05/26/2019
I used 1/2 cup yellow mustard and 1/2 cup spicy mustard.
04/01/2020
Great taste and easy to make!
02/04/2013
My Husband and his buddies loved this recipe! It was super easy for me and much healthier than fried wings. Definitely will make again!
01/18/2016
turned out great! used the review suggestion to bake at 450 degrees, and used 1/2 the mustard ( only had yellow on hand) which i did, and they were fabulous! my picky husband liked them so much he wants me to make them for friends.
08/10/2018
Will definitely make again! Thank you
10/05/2019
Excellent, halved the recipe
02/13/2018
These turned out pretty good. The mustard adds a more complex taste to the teriyaki type flavor.
07/02/2013
it was delicious but wondering if all used the dark or light brown sugar? I did use dark brown sugar and everyone seemed to love it..I was thinking of trying with light to see what the difference is....anybody make it with light?
02/14/2022
These were amazing! I made them for the super bowl and they were a hit. I forgot about premarinading before it was too late so I just baked naked for the first 30 and then basted the sauce every ten minutes afterwards. Turned the oven off and let them sit until halftime was over. They were sticky and delicious! Not too sweet, not too mustardy. They were a perfect blend. I might try adding a little cayenne sprinkled on next time while baking to give it a little kick but we were so happy with this recipe.
03/06/2022
Delicious! I followed the advice of others and used half dijon and regular mustard. I also added a half cup of chiavetta's marinade and let it sit overnight
02/14/2022
Everyone - and I mean everyone - loved this! Like others, used half yellow/half Dijon mustard. Started baking at 375 like recipe called for but ended up increasing temp to 425 for last 20 min - and this resulted in a crispier wing! A must do next time! We loved the results and would absolutely make again!! We thought the flavor was fantastic!!! Thank you!!
12/21/2020
This recipe lives up to it's name! Easy and Amazing. The only minor changes I did were substituting half the mustard with honey mustard, I then added a bit of butter and warmed up the mixture to allow the brown sugar to dissolve properly. I modified the cooking temp to 450F for 40 minutes and say hello to the tastiest juiciest wings you've ever eaten.
03/20/2018
The recipe title says it all! Amazing and easy! I basted every 10 minutes filled them and broiled them right at the end. We loved them! Would make again!
02/03/2014
My family just Loved this and so easy!!!
01/03/2018
My whole family... from my husband and I to our 17 year old son to our 6 year old daughter LOVED these!! I kept the recipe and marinating time the same, but increased the oven temperature to 420. Definitely making these again! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
12/22/2017
My husband and kids loved these wings. I marinated them overnight and the flavor waa throughout the meat.
07/31/2017
these wings are always a hit!
10/02/2016
Excellent taste and quick, easy recipe. I would definitely make these again.
06/25/2017
Super delicious and very sticky this recipe would be amazing on ribs!
04/21/2020
Loved it simple and easy I put temperature at 450 also
04/21/2019
These were incredible. The only thing I'd suggest is to bake them first for an hour to crisp them up. Then marinate them every 10 to 15 min for the next 45 min to an hour. They are scrumptious!
08/14/2019
It wasn't that great because the wings were not crispy. I did like the flavor of the sauce. Maybe it's because my wings were purchased frozen instead of fresh.
03/26/2018
Used spicy mustard and Dijon mustard, added a bit of minced garlic, onion powder and a dash of celery salt. Turned out well. Will make again
12/12/2015
These are easy to make and are delicious.
03/05/2017
Used 1'/2 yellow mustard and half region mustard. Baked middle shelf 50 minutes very good. Otherwise followed recipe.
01/10/2018
This is the best wing recipe I've ever made. I was worried about the mustard as well but couldn't even taste the mustard.
02/21/2013
Loved it! I did add some extra seasoning into the marinade to give it some kick-used barbeque sause as a dipping sauce for the wings. will definately keep this recipe and use again!!
12/29/2016
a friend told me about this recipe after I ate a batch she made. I had half the amount of chicken so used 1/2 the amount of ingredients and it came out great! I cooked mine under the broiler.
04/08/2021
This is the second tome making. I'd say it's a easy recipe. Hubby loved it. Delicious. Thank you
05/20/2020
I used salt instead of soy as well I added bbq sauce and a few dashes of hot sauce for the marinade. Left this overnight. Basted halfway with BBQ sauce....Sooooo good!!!!
01/04/2019
Delicious! My husband made these wings for New Year's and they went fast. He followed the recipe as written. Best I've had!
01/15/2016
Made this just as the recipe showed. It was awesome! It couldn't have been easier and the whole group loved it. Will be making this again.
04/10/2020
I made frozen Tyson wings in an air fryer. Because they were frozen, I didn't marinate them. When they were almost done, I took them out of the air fryer, tossed them in the marinate, then put back in the air fryer for the remaining cooking time. I used half dijon and half honey mustard instead of yellow as a few other reviewers suggested. I also used low sodium soy sauce. They were absolutely delicious! This will be my go to wing recipe.
11/14/2017
I made these as the recipe stated. I DID make a BIT more of the marinade/basting sauce. Good thing, too...there was NOTHING LEFT. My husband is currently eating this and has barely uttered 5 words. He just grunts and says mmmmm and licks his fingers. I'd say it's a keeper.
01/13/2020
Thanks Rebecca, Love your recipe and made extra dipping sauce. With another great Allrecipes hot wings recipe. Served with sliced yellow peppers, green onions and celery. Easy and fun Sunday night dinner.
10/05/2021
This recipe definitely lived up to the hype. It's a keeper for me. For the mustard, I used half yellow mustard and half dijon mustard as one commenter had mentioned. My roommate, who hates mustard was blown away at how delicious the wings were and how you can't even taste the mustard. I will be making this at all future dinners and parties.
04/15/2021
This is the best!
11/07/2020
Very tasty. I used mostly yellow mustard, but I had a part jar of Keen's hot mustard in the fridge so I used it as part of the mustard. I also made only half the recipe. Added red pepper flakes. It was very good. I will make it again.
09/29/2016
Delish!!!!!
11/05/2018
Very easy amd very good!
09/15/2013
So delicious and so easy!!! At first I thought the ingredients would be weird together but it turned out great!
02/16/2022
Excellent! I used 1/2 c. mustard & 1/2 c. BBQ sauce, and cut the brown sugar to 1 1/4 cups. Still used 1/4 c. soy sauce. I also threw in some garlic powder & onion powder. Baked at 400° for a little over an hour total time, with 2 separate bastings after the first, initial half hour. I employed foil covered baking sheets, coated with oil, and they still stuck. That's normal- they're full of gunky goodness.
Give this a go. You'll like it! 👌
04/03/2016
I followed the recipe as followed and I loved it...
02/27/2020
This was delicious! I never thought a sauce with so few ingredients could be so tasty. I was worried about the sauce being too mustardy with only yellow mustard but it turned out perfect using yellow mustard. Will definitely be making again.
02/07/2014
Thought they were delicious, but I think I'll refrain from the additional basting next time. The bottom of the pan was covered in burnt caramelized marinade....
02/08/2021
So tasty! I can't believe it's only 3 ingredients. Whole family loved them. This is going in my book of awesome recipes.
